St. Francis Borgia in prayer
Oil on canvas. The saint appears in profile, in an attitude of prayer, before the apparition or vision of the Sacred Form on the Cross. Quality painting in the treatment of the face and in the simulation of architectural elements, in gold. A legend in Spanish identifies the portrayed: "San Francisco de Borja". The painting is enhanced by its original frame in carved wood, with fine gilding, in neo-Gothic style, with some flaws in the lower area (5 leaves). The canvas has small flaws in its dark background that do not affect the figure of the saint.
