A set of four photographs of celebrities from the early and middle 20th century with gratitude signatures for help, support, successful collaboration, friendship, addressed to David Bines, a Broadway, Hollywood, Paramount Pictures, and Twentieth Century Fox studio impresario, who emigrated from Russia to America and successfully worked with many famous people of the past century.The first photo is Judy Garland, born Frances Ethel Gumm, 1922-1969 an American actress, singer, and dancer. The third photo is Joseph Evans Brown, 1891-1973 an American actor and comedian. The second and fourth is Wladziu Valentino Liberace 1919-1987 an American pianist, actor, and singer.Provenance: Estate of David Bines.
