A UNIQUE RUSSIAN BOOK BY STEPANOVA AND RODCHENKO
A unique Russian book, First Horse, one of the most famous works in the field of book design, performed by the outstanding masters of the Russian avant-garde Alexander Mikhailovich Rodchenko (1891-1956) and Varvara Fedorovna Stepanova (1894-1958). Rodchenko also appears in this publication and as one of the authors of the photographs. In addition to him, the book uses photographs by M.G. Prekhner, A.S. Shaikhet, I.M. Shagin and others. The text was compiled by O. L. Leonidov. The album uses photographic materials and historical documents of the Central Museum of the Red Army. Hardcover. Publisher: Ogiz-Izogiz. The first edition of the book was published in 1937 (signed for publication in 1936). A second, smaller edition was published in 1938. Lenin's portrait on the insert.
