A RUSSIAN OIL PAINTING TOWN BY MARIE VASSILIEFF
Marie Vassilieff (Russian, 1884-1957) oil painting on canvas, Town View with a Horse Carriage, 1956. Signed and dated lower to the center. The auction labels on verso. Marie Vassilieff was one of the first Russian artists to settle in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century, where she founded the Académie Vassilieff, a key place for the Parisian Avant-Garde.
