Umberto Brunelleschi, Italian, 1879 to 1949, large etching printed in black ink and pochoir in color ink on wove paper, Pantalon, from the series, Masks and Personages, 1914. Printed in 1914 by Journal des Dames et des Modes, Paris. Art Deco pochoir, Iconic master piece by Brunelleschi from the iconic portfolio, The Masks and Characters of Italian Comedy. Signed in the plate lower right. Titled in the plate and marked in the plate lower to the center. Marked in the plate lower right and left. Framed. Umberto Brunelleschi, 1879 to 1949, was an Italian artist. He was born in Montemurlo, Italy, studied at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Florence and moved to Paris in 1900 with Ardengo Soffici where he soon established himself as a printer, book illustrator, set and costume designer.
