RUSSIAN SILVER MONOGRAM CASKET WITH GILT MEDALS
A Russian silver footed cigarette case or casket with a hinged lid. The lid is decorated with two relief monograms in the upper left and lower right. The initials in the upper left are set with crystals. The cover is decorated with two gilt tokens, a medal in memory of the coronation of Empress Anna Ioannovna, 1730, and an award medal To the Worthy for the students of the Mining School in Saint Petersburg, 1775. A faceted sapphire is inlaid close to the clasp. The inside of the case is lined. Hallmark 84 silver stadard and makers mark are in the lower left corner of the cover. Total weight: 520 grams.
