AMERICAN SCREEN PRINT LOVE BY ROBERT INDIANA
Robert Indiana, born Robert Clark, American, 1928 to 2018, a color screen print on smooth wove paper under glass titled Love, consisting of the letters L and O over the letters V and E in bold Didone type, the O is slanted sideways so that its oblong negative space creates a line leading to the V. Signed in pencil by the artist and dated 1982, numbered lower left. Robert Indiana was an artist associated with the pop art movement. His iconic image LOVE was first created in 1964 in the form of a card which he sent to several friends and acquaintances in the art world. Vintage Prints And American Art Collectibles.
