Josif Josifovic Boksay, Russian, Ukrainian, Soviet, 1930 to 2002, oil painting on canvas depicting a rural mountain landscape with houses, 1990. Signed and dated lower right. Josif Josifovic Boksay was a Soviet Ukrainian painter. In 1951 he graduated from the Uzhgorod School of Applied Arts, in 1957 - Lviv Institute of Decorative And Applied Arts, where he studied with his father Iosif Boksay, R. Selsky and I. Gutorov.
