CHINESE MING DYNASTY CARVED JADE ELEPHANT FIGURE
An antique Chinese hand-carved white jade elephant figurine. Late Ming dynasty, before 1644. In Buddhism, elephants represent Buddha and auspicious omens. Elephant figures are a popular theme in Chinese jade carving and common collectibles. The piece is mounted on a footed mahogany base. Collectible Oriental Asian Carvings And Decor.
