A 19th century Italian Grand Tour bronze figure of St. Peter. This is a reduction of the figure from St Peters Basilica in Rome. Saint Peter is depicted sitting on a throne, holding a key in his left hand and making a blessing gesture with his right hand. Unmarked. The statuettes like this one were intended to be Grand Tour souvenirs very popular among North Europe travelers.
