JUDAICA REBECCA ON CAMEL PRINT BY ABEL PANN
Abel Pann, 1883 to 1963, Judaica color lithograph print depicting a scene with Rebecca from the Hebrew Bible. Signed by the artist lower right in the plate. Inscribed in pencil below from Genesis XXIV, 61. The quote reads And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man. Matted and framed. Abel Pann was a Russian-born Jewish painter and printmaker who settled in the Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem in the early 20th century and taught at the Bezalel Academy of Art under Boris Schatz.
