Oleg Alexandrovich Liagatchev, Russian, Soviet Era, born 1939, two mixed media paintings on paper depicting colorful Surreal compositions. The first is signed and dated 1980, lower left. The second is signed and dated 1979, upper left. Framed. Oleg Alexandrovich Lyagachev is an artist, art critic and writer, an art theoretician, and a writer under the pen name Helgi Lughin. From 1967 to 1979, he was a member of the Petersburg art group along with M. Chemiakin, E. Esaulenko, V. Ivanov, A. Vasilyev, and others. Liagatchev belongs to the generation of the sixties, a very important period in the cultural life of Russia. One of a kind artwork.
