Emile Eisman Semenowsky, born Emil Eismann, French, 1853 to 1918, oil on canvas painting depicting a portrait of a woman wearing Classical Greek dress and sitting in front of a vase with a view to a sea harbor in the distance. Signed lower right by the artist. Framed. Emile Eisman Semenowsky was a French painter of Russian birth and Polish, possibly Jewish, ancestry.
