RUSSIAN SILVER ENAMEL DIAMOND RUBY STANDING FRAME
A large Russian silver standing picture frame. Curved oval shape with embossed baroque decor. Vertical oval hole for the picture is encompassed with blue guilloche enamel, embellished with overlay decor, diamonds and rubies. The overlay includes a crown, an Imperial eagle, a ribbon and an inscription For Faith and Loyalty in Russian. The frame presents a portrait of the Empress Catherine the Great. Engraved crowned monogram VM is on the top of the frame. Hallmark of 84 silver standard and makers marks are on the backside. Total Weight: 576 grams.
