FRENCH FIGURAL ROMAN CHARIOT SPELTER MANTEL CLOCK
An antique French figural spelter mantel or table clock, Roman Chariot. Sculpted by Xavier Raphanel, French, 20th Century sculptor. The body of the clock depicts a rider in a horse drawn chariot. Mounted on a marble base. A white enameled dial with black Arabic numerals and ornate gilded hands. The dial is adorned with a foliage pattern. Marked on the dial. Completed with an etched plaque on the front of the base that reads, Course Romaine par X. Raphanel. Circa: the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Dimensions: Base 19 x 11 in., 18 in Height. All measurements are approximate.
