An antique Japanese Edo period engraving in the Ukiyo e style, early edition, dates from the 18th century. The engraving depicts a beautiful court lady seated in a long multi layered robes against the backdrop of a mysterious landscape and inscriptions in Japanese. Provenance: from the collection of Dr. Horacio Fabrega, Pittsburgh, PA. Ukiyo e is a genre of Japanese art that flourished from the 17th through 19th centuries. Its artists produced woodblock prints.
