JUDAICA HAND PAINTED ARTWORK ON STONE BY BEN ZION
Ben Zion, Russian, Ukrainian, American, 1897 to 1987, hand painted artwork on a stone depicting a Judaica portrait of an ancient, 1959. Signed and dated, on the backside. Presented in a wooden shadow box. Ben Zion, also known as Ben Zion Weinman, 1897 to 1987, was a Russian born American painter, printmaker, sculptor, educator, and poet. He was a member of The Ten group of expressionist artists, a group of young artists, including Joseph Solman, who strived to create something new in art in the 1940s. One of a kind artwork.
Dimensions: Frame L 6 1/2 x W 6 in. Sculpture L 1 1/2 x W 1 1/4 in. All measurements are approximate.
