FRENCH LITHOGRAPH MUSEUM POSTER AFTER FERNAND LEGER
A vintage French lithographic poster on paper for Galliera Museum, Art and Work XX Exhibition Organized Artists Witnesses of Their Time on The Occasion of The Fifth Anniversary of The Founding of The International Labor Organization, November 1969, after Fernand Joseph Henri Leger, French, 1881 to 1955. Signed with initials and dated 48 in the plate, lower right. Printed by Mourlot, Paris. Marked in the print, lower to the center. Joseph Fernand Henri Leger was a French painter, sculptor, and filmmaker. In his early works he created a personal form of cubism known as tubism which he gradually modified into a more figurative, populist style. His boldly simplified treatment of modern subject matter has caused him to be regarded as a forerunner of pop art. Modern European Graphic Art Prints, Posters, and Collectibles.
