ANTIQUE RUSSIAN GILT BRONZE FOUR PANEL FOLDING ICON
An antique Russian Orthodox four-panel folding icon, or skladen, made of cast gilt bronze. Dated ca. 1880s. Each panel features four miniature icon images which represent the Twelve Great feasts in the Eastern Orthodox Church. The cover depicts the Crucifix. Hand-etched titles in Church Slavonic.
