SOVIET YURI GAGARIN ASTRONAUT PHOTO W STAMPS SIGNED
A Russian Soviet era historical black and white portrait photograph depicting a famous Soviet pilot astronaut Yuri Gagarin. The photo is signed by Yuri Gagarin, to the center left. Inscribed in Cyrillic, Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin The Worlds First Cosmonautб, lower left. Completed with two Soviet era postal stamps, 1961 Man of the Soviet Country in Space, and with a quote from Nikita Khrushchev. Stamped, lower right. Yuri Gagarin was a Soviet Air Forces pilot and cosmonaut who became the first human to journey into outer space, achieving a major milestone in the Space Race; his capsule, Vostok 1, completed one orbit of Earth on 12 April 1961.
