An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon representing Saint Princes Boris and Gleb. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The characters are named in Church Slavonic. Boris and his brother Gleb were younger children of Vladimir the Great and became the first canonized Russian orthodox saints, XI century.
