MID CENTURY JUDAICA STERLING SILVER SPICE TOWER
A mid-20th century sterling silver spice tower. Footed round piece with a flagpole finial. Embossed cartouche decor. Hallmark 925 is on the base. Total Weight: 195 grams. Spice tower is a special container for spices and herbs used by the Jewish people on Shabbath and other religious holidays. Since the 16th century this type of box was usually executed in the form of a tower or a house, hence the name of the item. Collectible Judaica Silverware, Tableware And Kitchen Accessories.
