LOT OF RUSSIAN KHOLUY LACQUER WOODEN TRINKET BOXES
A lot of four Russian lacquer wooden trinket boxes with hinged lids. Each box is a testament to the artistry and tradition of Russian lacquerware. The boxes are made in triangle and oval shapes. The lids of the wares are decorated with winter holiday scenes in the Russian Folk Art manner and surrounded by traditional gilded ornaments. One box is titled, For Water, and signed with initials, A. M. The second box is signed with initials, inscribed, Kholuy in the Ivanovo Oblast region, and titled, Gnome. Red lacquer interiors.
