RICHARD LINDNER GERMAN AMERICAN COLOR LITHOGRAPH
Color lithograph on paper by Richard Lindner, 1901 to 1978, a German-American Surrealist artist and illustrator who worked for Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. He became known for erotic and enigmatic renderings, first based on memories from his childhood in Germany and later inspired by the vulgar, fetishistic aspects of life in New York. This lot represents a woman with a hoop. After the ca. 1970 gouache painting. Signed by the artist in pencil in the lower right. Numbered VIII out of LXXV. Dated 1986. Collectible Modernist Graphic Art Prints, Limited Edition.
