Antique 1790 Russian Silver Award Medal
A Russian Imperial Award Medal for Service and Courage and to commemorate Peace with Sweden was established on August 19, 1790 to reward soldiers, non-commissioned officers and sailors who participated in the Russian-Swedish war of 1788-1790. A total of about 90,000 medals were minted. The issuance of medals dragged on until the end of the reign of Empress Catherine II. Worn on the ribbon of the Order of St. Vladimir. In Silver. Weight: 14.6 g.
