RARE ATTIC BLACK FIGURE KYLIX WITH A RIDER
Ca. 565 - 550 BCAn elegant Attic kylix (drinking cup). The vessel presents a classic form with a deep bowl and twin upturned loop handles upon a pedestal base. The kylix is decorated with a rider on a horse and a circle in the middle of the cup on the internal side. On the sides of the handles, there are two stylised palmettes in black and purple. This is a beautiful example, made to be associated with the celebratory ceremonies of the Dionysiac cult.
