BYZANTINE / SELJUK HEAVY GOLD BRACELET WITH THREE CABOCHONS
Ca. AD 900 - 1100.
A Byzantine/Seljuk heavy gold bracelet with hoop triangular section adorned with incised stylised kufic inscription and hammered faces close to the hinge. It has a high bezel securing a round stone flanked by two red garnets on the shoulders of the bracelet.
Size: 70mm x 75mm; Weight: 24g
Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
