Ca. 330 - 300 BC.A Hellenistic terracotta Askos, in shape of Venus. The figure is standing in a chiastic position on top of a round podium. On the top of the figure is a black, narrow necked vessel. The back of the statuette is completely black. The statuette has preserved traces of the original pigments present.Size: 200mm x 65mm; Weight: 160gProvenance: Private London collection, acquired on the US art market; Ex. NYC collection; Ex. F.
