Ca. AD 100 - 200.A Roman terracotta oil lamp featuring a pointed and prominent handle on the back. The lamp displays a small filling-hole on the discoid centre. It depicts the head of Medusa or a gorgon surrounded by a pronounced rim. Size: 115mm x 70mm; Weight: 90gProvenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the German art market in the 1990s.
