Ca. AD 100 - 300.A Roman fine cast-bronze depiction of an eagle perched atop a stylised head of bull. The majestic bird stands atop slender delineated legs with its chest puffed out, its wings stretched out to the sides as if ready to fly away, and a small head turned slightly to the left with an aquiline beak.Size: 35mm x 14mm; Weight: 23gProvenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the Belgian art market in the 1990s.
