COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE BES AMULETS
New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A collection of twelve faience amulets. Each represents Bes, the dwarf deity, depicted with prominent features, and squat proportions. Most pieces are suitable for suspension, with loops present. The colour range includes classic blue glaze, turquoise, greyish hues, and one red example.
