A SPLASHWARE AMOL WARE CERAMIC BOWL
Iran, Ca. 12th - 13th century AD. An Amol ware bowl showcasing a vibrant and dynamic decoration. The interior surface is adorned with a swirling pattern of spirals and loops rendered in green, manganese, and ochre tones. These colours were achieved through the application of metallic oxides under a transparent glaze. The swirling designs create a rhythmic composition, framed by a darker mottled rim.Size: 170mm x 90mm; Weight: 425gProvenance: Previous property of a UK based Islamic art professional.
