Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 332 - 30 BC. A stone bust depicting a female figure identified as Isis. The figure is shown with a long tripartite wig. The face is rounded, with deep-set eyes, a prominent nose, and small lips. Mounted on a modern display stand.Size: 130mm x 80mm; Weight: 885gProvenance: Private UK collection; Ex. M. H. collection, Kensington, acquired on the UK art market in the 1970s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
