CYPRIOT LIMESTONE HEAD OF WORSHIPPER
Ca. 330 - 270 BC. A limestone head depicting a male figure with a rounded face, broad nose, and smiling lips. The eyes are shallowly carved beneath a smooth brow line. The hair is arranged in thick, grooved locks falling down the sides of the face.For similar see: A. Hemary, Catalogue des antiquites de Chypre, Sculptures, 1989, Cat. 509, p. 252; 499, p. 247.
