RARE DAUNIAN BICHROME THYMIATERION
Ca. 550 - 450 BC. A bichrome pottery thymiaterion with a broad, rounded bowl set on a tall, square-section stem. The bowl is decorated with an abstract pattern, while the stem and the base are wrapped in alternating red and black bands.Size: 145mm x 105mm; Weight: 220gProvenance: Property of a central London gallery, previously acquired on the Dutch art market; previously acquired on the Belgian art market; Hugo Lievens, Brussels 1982.
