Sefer Yam Shel Shloime . ים של שלמה. Rav Shloime Luria. Tractate Chulin. Feurda. 1776
First edition edited in Feurda after being printed twice before. Once in Lublin and once in Ofibach 1728. Yam Shel Shlomo, Luria's major work of Halacha, was written on sixteen tractates of the Talmud; however, it is extant on only seven of the sixteen. In it, Maharshal analyzes key sugyos (passages) and decides between various authorities as to the practical halacha. Maharshal, famously, objected to Isserles's method of presenting halachic rulings without discussing their derivation. He wrote Yam Shel Shlomo to "probe the depths of the Halacha" and to clarify the process by which those halachos are reached. . Thick yellow paper, in very good condition. Interesting emblem with two angels at the end of the Sefer. Signed Michael Segal........ on top of first page.
