Andreotti was a painter and sculptor among the leading exponents of the Italian art scene between the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence where he trained with Enrico Pollastrini and Stefano Ussi, with whom he joined romantic painting from numerous historical references. However, he soon abandoned this genre to devote himself to portraiture and genre scenes in contexts of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. An impression trait almost seems to emerge in his works in the drafting of the brushstrokes.
