"This very precious panel, published in the Federico Zeri Foundation Photo Library at no. 33256 - envelope 0136, is a manifestation of the aesthetic appreciation of the art of the early Italian and Florentine Renaissance, which interested scholars of the mid-twentieth century. The iconography presents a loving harmony that binds the mother to her son - gently held by one side - and the rigorous setting of the three saints, lined up on two sides with respect to the central representation, offering the idea of a mature style. The panel is made with gold background and tempera."
