A pair of Bhuta bronze buffaloes Southern India, Karnataka or Kerala, 19th century Meas: 14 X h. 9 cm each - Bronze casting depicting Nandi, the sacred mount of Shiva. The two buffaloes are well detailed, with jewellery on the muzzle and neck.
