A large bronze figure of Nandi Southern India, Tamil Nadu, 19th century Meas: 19.7 X h. 22 X p. 12 cm - Heavy bronze casting depicting Shiva's mount, crouched on a rectangular plinth, in front of him a small Shivalingam (the aniconic form of the deity) on Yoni. Objects similar to this are found placed at the entrances of shrines dedicated to Shiva.
