GIOVANNI BATTISTA CARLONE (Genova, 1603 ca. - Parodi Ligure, 1684 ca.) Mystical Communion of Saint Catherine of Siena Oil on canvas, cm. 122x97. The painting, already recognised as the work of Giovanni Battista Carlone by Prof. Anna Orlando, is most likely the model for the fresco of the same subject, similar in composition, in the chapel dedicated to St. Catherine of Siena in the left aisle of the Church of San Siro in Genoa.
