Carved bone composition of a saint with cherubs - Trapani workshops, 18th century Sicily depicting a saint kneeling in front of a churchyard with books and a cross; in the upper part a reliquary flanked by two cherubs. The composition could depict the Jesuit saint Francis Xavier in the act of adoring the cross, symbol of the conversion mission. Within gilded wooden frame. Composition size 17 x 14 cm, frame 48 x 43 cm. Item condition grading: **** good. Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97.
