Grouping of 2 Antique French Posters/Lithographs
Grouping of 2 antique French posters/lithographs including a French theater Revue poster c 1880 featuring a cast of characters with broadsides above their heads and inscribed "Baret". Has a French poster stamp at the top center. Is backed on linen and has considerable loss to the edges and discoloration to the bottom. Is beginning to separate from the linen backing. Done by Choubrae Alfred and a French cabaret/burlesque show poster/lithograph advertising Lido, a nightclub in Paris. Features a showgirl with a hat covering her body and is inscribed "Lido Champs-Elysees. Le plus celebre cabaret du monde. La fastueuse revue Desirs". Done by Raymond Brenot. Has some horizontal creases and small tears to the left side of the paper. Slight discoloration to the top and sides. Measures approx. 23" - 46" tall x 15 1/2" - 33 1/2" wide.
