הגאון רבי בצלאל הכהן [תק"פ – תרל"ח] בן רבי ישראל משה מווילנא. אחיו הגדול ומרבותיו של בעל ה'חשק שלמה'. כבר מילדותו נודע כעילוי גדול ובהיותו בן 13 סיים את הש"ס. בגיל 23 נבחר לכהן כרב בווילנא. היה מגדולי רבני דורו. ספריו: 'מראה כהן' 'ראשית ביכורים' ועוד.
