An 1844 Copper Half Farthing Coin. Extremely fine. Obverse features the head of young Queen Victoria facing left, ribbons in her hair (young head). The legend reads 'VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F:D:' which translates to "Victoria by the grace of God, queen of Britain's, defender of the faith". Reverse - Shows the words 'HALF FARTHING', with the royal crown above and the date below. Underneath the date is a design combining a rose, thistle and shamrock.
