1947 Hillman Minx mark 1 four door saloon Hot Rod classic car.
1947 Hillman Minx mark 1 4 door saloon Hot Rod. This car left the production line and was shipped direct to Australia where it lived for 51 years being brought back to the uk in 1998. It's history is a bit thin from this point. It was issued with a certificate of authenticity from Hillman in 2002. At some point after this it's little 1185 side valve engine was replaced with a 2 litre Pinto and 5 speed gearbox from a Ford Sierra and a back axle from a Hillman Hunter. The current owner has had the car since 2021 and just doesn't have the time it deserves. It does have a small amount of paperwork with it. This little Minx really does deserve some love, time and money spent on it and you will have an awesome head turning Hot Rod.
