A GERMAN SILVER AND GEM SET FIGURAL JEWEL SAFE CABINET, PSEUDO MARKS, HANAU, CIRCA 1890
modelled as a young maiden in 17th century Renaissance dress; her bodice opening to reveal several compartments, her dress opening with two doors to reveal an ebonised wood interior fitted with nine drawers, each applied with openwork silver foliage , secret compartments, the body inset with turquoise, amethysts, garnets, agates and cabochon and faceted pastes
