A Queen Victoria South Africa Medal with Five Clasps. TUNGELA HEIGHTS, ORANGE FREE STATE, RELIEF OF LADYSMITH, TRANSVAAL AND LAING'S NEK. Named to 2137 Pte H. Case 2/East Surrey Regt. This is the 1st type QSA with the dates 1899-1900 erased - the (ghost) dates are clearly visible in the reverse field. Pte Case enlisted in 1884 aged only 15 years old and was discharged on completion of his engagement in 1900. This medal is his sole entitlement. In good VF condition.
