Inspired by the harrowing practice of finning sharks in China, where they sink helplessly into the ocean after losing their fins, this artwork draws a poignant connection to the tragedy of flight PS752. It captures the terror and helplessness of lives suspended between destruction and oblivion. A tribute to the passengers and crew, it reflects on loss, resilience, and the wings taken from both creatures and humanity. ARTIST BIO Venus Behjati is a multidisciplinary artist and current Master of Fine Arts student, exploring themes of identity, societal struggles, and our place in the universe.
