Complete collection of this monarchical periodical, born in the context of the revival of anti-republican movements resulting from the approval of the amnesty diploma of February 21, 1914, which brought back to Portugal many of the exiles after the republican revolution. With the artistic direction of Almada Negreiros and the collaboration of Gastão de Lys, Stuart Carvalhais, Jorge Barradas, among others, and literary collaboration, in addition to the director Alfredo Lamas, Machado Correia and A. Monteiro, the Papagaio Real assumed itself as an organ linked to the Monarchical Cause. Like most monarchical periodicals at the time, it had a short-lived existence, ending its publication after 4 months. Rare.
